Every Mother’s Day I reminisce about my mothers. My deceased biological Mom (Nora) and living adopted Mom (Bea). I recall the hundreds of children I have interviewed and asked to respond to intake questions, “Mother’s name?” Easy answer and the child often also knows his mother’s middle name as well.

I enjoy reading mysteries. Piecing the story together and deciphering cues intrigues me. As a counselor, I appreciate biographies too. Counseling is like hearing an autobiography and a mystery. Client and counselor partner to discover answers.
