Jennifer Boudreaux Mandeville High
Jennifer is a senior class officer, has been a varsity soccer letterman for four years, and is an active member of the student council. She was recently named the 2011 Mandeville High School Homecoming Queen. But perhaps what really describes Mandeville High senior Jennifer Boudreaux is her willingness to help others in need. When she learned that the assistant soccer coach’s wife, Aimee Gold, was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, Jennifer rallied girls’ varsity soccer players—both past and present—and organized a fundraiser to help defray the Gold family’s medical costs. The effort raised nearly $2,000.
“As soon as we found out that Coach’s wife was sick, we were all upset by it because she is so young. I decided to raise money for him, so I got the soccer team together and we raised a good amount which helped him out.” In her free time, Jennifer likes to spend time with family and friends, play soccer and do math.
Jennifer plans to attend Louisiana State University, where she will study engineering. We wish Jennifer all the best in her senior year and congratulate her as our December Charter Business HERO Award winner.
